I registered online and received a new customer number. Now I have two customer
numbers, which complicates things unnecessarily. How can I change this?
That's no problem. Send an email to henrys@henrys.de, describe the problem, and
provide the customer number you want to keep. We will then transfer your
password to the corresponding customer number and delete the customer number
that is no longer needed.
Why doesn't it say how long bids can be placed for each item? For example, when
is the latest I can place my bids if the auction starts at a specific time?
HENRY´s conducts live auctions with a live audience. The lots are called
individually, the written bids are read out, and visitors and telephone bidders
are asked for higher bids. The time required therefore varies for each lot,
which is why we can only give the start time on the internet. You can calculate
approximately when your lot will be called using the following table, which
indicates how many lots are called per hour:
- Jewellery and Silverware 100–150 lots per hour
- Watches 75–80 lots per hour
- Fine Art and Antiques 100–120 lots per hour
- Rugs and Carpets 100–150 items per hour
To be on the safe side, however, always assume that lots will be called faster
than you expect. In any case, you can still place your bids online even after
the auction has started! Online bids are sent to the bidding server without
delay, so they are available to the auctioneer immediately after they are
placed. However, this does not apply to telephone bids. Telephone bids require
some organizational work and should therefore be placed at least one day before
the auction.
What is the increment rate?
The increment rate is normally 10% to the nearest hundred, thousand, or ten thousand.
I have a few old pieces that I would like to submit to auction. What are your terms and conditions? Who should I contact?
Please contact us by email. Exclusive items have a good chance of being
included in one of our upcoming auctions. Please write to HENRY´s or, better
still, to the department that best suits your item. Ideally, please send
relevant images with your email.
The email addresses are:

- Jewellery and silverware finejewellery@henrys.de
- Watches watches@henrys.de
- Fine Art fineart@henrys.de

Tips for searching for terms
You can use the term search to perform an advanced selection of items. All
terms entered here must appear in the database in exactly the same wording for
an item to be selected. However, upper and lower case letters are not
distinguished.
Example: You are looking for an Omega men's wristwatch. You could then enter
the following terms in the field: ‘Omega men's wristwatch’. If nothing is
found, shorten the search terms, e.g., to ‘Omega men's wrist’.
Please note the abbreviations
in the prose descriptions of the items. The computer can only find words that
have been entered into the database in exactly the same way. For example, the
search term ‘stainless steel’ will not return any results if only the
abbreviation ‘stainless’ is used in the description of the items.
There is no limit to the number of search terms you can enter.
If you want to search for items across all departments/categories, first click
on the ‘ALL’ category. Your search terms will then be searched for in the
entire product database. If you click on the ‘Carpets’ category, your search
terms will only be searched for in the items in the carpet department, etc.
You can also search directly by catalog number. Click on the category “ALL” or,
better still, select the department that offers this item and simply enter the
catalog number (without the auction number) as the search term. For example, if
you are looking for the carpet ‘01-7001’, click on the ‘Carpets’ category and
enter ‘7001’. However, you can perform a more precise direct search using the
number search in the left-hand navigation bar.
Tips for searching for numbers
All offer numbers used at HENRY´s consist of two parts: the auction number and
the catalog number. If the offer number is, for example, ‘40-0001’, then the
first number (auction number) is ‘40’ and the second number (catalog number) is
‘1’ (leading zeros can be omitted).
I saw in the results list that an item I bid on was sold. And in the individual
view, I saw that I won the bid. What happens now?
After checking the data, you will receive the invoice within a few days. Once
you have paid the invoice, the goods will be sent to you if you wish.
Alternatively, you can of course pick up the goods yourself, which will save
you shipping costs.
