Large platter, Keichousaurus fossil, Xingyi, Guizhou Province, China, Middle Triassic (around 240 million years ago), 32 x 32 cm, clear skeletons of four Keichousaurus hui, a type of small marine reptile from the sauropterygian group, two adults and two juveniles; The adult specimens show complete skeletons with well-preserved details, including vertebrae, ribs and phalanges, the significantly smaller juveniles show characteristic features of immature individuals, their preservation in close proximity to the adults provides valuable paleontological clues to possible family structures or social behavior, the bone structure prepared in relief and partly supplemented and black repainted
