Wall clock, Black Forest, with stucco shield, late 18th century, gilded wooden shield
with shellwork decoration, painted dial (probably formerly with appliqué at the
bottom), dial loosened and heavily warped, original hands and alarm disc available
(supplied loose), wooden plate movement in lug construction, external pendulum guide,
two spacer pins, wooden spindle, turned wooden latches, escapement arranged above
the roof, hook movement, beautiful turned wooden escapement shaft, side. arranged
alarm clock, hour strikeon bell, wooden locking disk and hour wheel, doors and weights
as well as pendulum are missing, height 37 cm, condition of movement/housing 3-4,
provenance: private collection Rhineland-Palatinate, function and completeness not
checked
