Covered box , Hanau approx. 1880-1915, Sterling silver (925), rectangular body with a flat hinged cover, the lid decorated in highrelief with a romantic equestrian scene before a castle ruin, the sides are embellished with an all-over repoussé decoration of acanthus leaves, scrolling foliage, flowers, leaves and mascarons, gilt interior, approx. 11.8 x 7.5 x 5 cm, approx. 289.4 g, maker's mark of Johann Georg Plantzer, additionally struck with partial Hanau pseudo hallmarks
