Small turret clock, late Renaissance, early 17th century. Century, the four-sided
gold- plated brass case stands on a stepped base, very finely engraved on all sides
in a high- quality, flat decoration with niello technique, crowning of the bell tower
in a hemispherical shape with opening work, including the bell, on the face side
with a dial, this with the old quarter-hour ring on which the single hand points,
above the Roman hour numerals, one side with a small folding door to open the view
of the movement, on the scroll and chain, Percussion mechanism at the bottom, with
old traces of changes on the back, probably an opening for the original short pendulum
(later conversion in the upper cornice), dimensions in the base. Hour lock disk flanked
by the elevators for the walking and striking mechanism, hour strike on the bell,
irregular audible movement of the gear, movement not opened/tested, H.ca. 17cm, bowl
is missing, GZ 2, collectible
