Baroque clock with eye turner, Mathias Bernhard in Papa (Western Hungary), with Viennese
strike and date display, around 1770, wooden case, with old frame (age-related condition),
wooden top parts with tension deformations, decorated handle is loose, glazed door
front. and hi., arched dial, silver-plated lion embossed in the arcus, which acts
as an eye-turner in the pendulum rhythm, in his paw he holds the sign with the watchmaker's
name, flanked by auxiliary dials for striking and repeating, with display pendulum,
enamel dial with central date display, larger size. Brass plate movement with turned
movement pillars, back plate engraved with a large double eagle, verge movement,
three fixed barrels, pendulum with transport lock, Viennese strike on 2 bells, height
without handle approx. 48cm, WZ/GZ 3- 4, very rare, absolutely museum quality
