Albert Finck, 1895-1958, composition in the context of WWI, four raised hands, one with scourge, enigmatic arcade architecture with probably honored crowd, including Red Cross and Stahlhelm soldiers, mixed media on painting cardboard, 31x42 cm, verso signed andwith study by the artist's father, dated 1922,surface damage; Provenance: from the estate ofthe artist's family; As a war invalid in WWI, Finck completed training at the Karlsruhe and Berlin Academies. He held a professorship at the State Technical Center in Karlsruhe. His works are influenced by the horrors of WWI andChristian ideas. From his intensive work with stained glass, numerous church windows were created in the Baden area
