Pair of wall candlesticks by Alfred Schäfter (1900-1970), Bauhaus Dessau metal workshop 1928, brass with hammered decoration, signet AS denoting handwork, height approx. 50cm, width approx. 12.5cm, Schäfter studied and worked at the Burg Giebichenstein Halle arts and crafts school and was appointed master craftsman at the Bauhaus metal workshop Dessauin 1927, his work testify to simple, timeless elegance and are represented in many museums and collections worldwide
