Rare so-called "talking table clock", Bernhard Hiller, Gustav Becker clockwork,
around 1925, oak casing in the style of the time, top with sound openings, brass
dial marked: D.R.P. and made in Germany, right with large winding crank, left on/off
button, massive. Brass plate movement marked: Gustav Becker No. 2186484, pin anchor
gear encapsulated, manufactured in small numbers at that time with half- and quarter-hourly
time announcements (several languages), this is read from the sound head using gramophone
mechanisms and announced in a small vertical funnel, endless celluloid film strip
50mm which announces the time with a consistent human voice (this one is torn/glued),
even process, can be accessed via a push button at the top of the case, movement
starts, entire phonographic mechanism needs rest., function and completeness not
