| Beschreibung | Attribution: Jacob Friedrich Dörr, 1750-1788 Tübingen, portrait of Christian von Gemelin (1750-1823) in the blue suit of classicism, hip piece in a three-quarter profile, Gemelin was, among other things, Hofrat at the University of Tübingen, oval image section, unsigned, oil/LWD, 42x35 cm, frame 48x40 cm; present report from Prof. Dr. Börsch -Supan, Berlin; Börsch-Supan dates the work stylistically and iconologically into the period around 1781 and writes it according to the same methodology J.F. Dörr too. A portrait of Gmelin, which is traditional, but lost, is used as a proof. |
