Rare clock with visible brocot escapement, France around 1880, representative case,
white marble base, volute feet, gilded bronze, leaf frieze on the front side, fluted
corner pillars, pearl strip decoration, glazed on all sides, barrel-shaped roof end
with crowned putto and holding flower garlands, decorated bezel, two-part enamel
dial (minor hair line cracks), escapement with carnelian pins, signature as on movement:
Moser a Paris (see ref.: Tardy p. 474), back door with screwed closure, pendulum
movement according to: Vincenti, pendulum spring suspension of the stylized Berthoud
pendulum, half-hour strike on bell (this is loose), running. approx. 1 week, H. approx.
