Magnificent mirror, attributed to Fritz Heckert, 1870s, 28 individual mirror elements,
faceted, cast with silver, polished, rich decoration of flowers and tendrils, central
phoenix motif, restored or mounted on new wooden support, newly leaded frames, secondary
mirror, approx. 144x66 cm, good condition for its age; Between 1873-79, Fritz Heckert
made a large number of mirrors based on designs by the Berlin architect Luthmer.
The mirrors were presented, among others, at the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873
and at the trade exhibitions in Munich (1876), Breslau (1879) and Berlin (1879),
